Manhattan Door's eight decades of family-owned success has humble beginnings. Our company was founded by Sam Sklar in NYC during the heart of the industrial revolution. A hard working family man, Sam began our company out of a truck, driving door-to-door selling home improvement supplies and offering services such as painting and wood floor glazing.

Flash forward to today: Manhattan Door is operating at its fullest capacity yet, still family-owned and operated by Sam's great-grandchildren.

Siblings Michael and Laura Sklar are the third-generation owners and operators of the family-run interior wood door manufacturing business.

Michael and Laura have maintained their family's ongoing legacy and grown the business by keeping their great-grandfather, Sam, and father, Victor, in mind. Victor's vision, inspired by Sam and maintained by Michael and Laura, inspires the Sklar family to continue to work hard, innovate, provide quality products and offer outstanding customer service.

Today, Manhattan Door Corp. is dedicated to being a leading commercial wood door manufacturing firm in New Jersey.

In addition, the fourth generation, Jacob, Lauren and Stephanie Sklar, are already hard at work at the company, gearing up to one day run the family business.
